ISC is an international, non-profit organization with a mission to support communities by creating, implementing, and scaling equitable climate change mitigation and resilience solutions for those most profoundly impacted by the global climate crisis by forming collaborative, people-focused partnerships. Since 2014, ISC has been working in partnership with international brands and Indian suppliers to equip factories with best practices and tools to improve energy efficiency, the environment, health, and safety. With ISC’s help, India’s local leaders are:

  1. Improving energy efficiency of factories to reduce emissions.
  2. Reducing industrial pollution.
  3. Making factories healthier and safer for workers.
  4. Strengthening factories’ understanding of and approach to water

scarcity for improved supply chain and community resilience. ISC demonstrates clean technologies for various industries through its Innovative Clean Energy Technology (ICET) Platform and assists SMEs with adoption of sustainable practices.

2. Rural India Development Foundation

Rural India Development Foundation is a non-profit society which seeks to address developmental issues in the forest areas of Vananchal in Uttar Pradesh through a holistic approach. RIDF encourages sustainable agricultural practices in forest areas and holds regular consultations with village communities to discuss local requirements and suggest sustainable agricultural practices and cropping patterns. It has a presence in 2 aspirational districts – Sonbhadra and Chandauli – in Uttar Pradesh and connects with 12 village settlements through its community centres.
