Circular Economy Training Workshop on E-Waste
Organized by IYCN in collaboration with CGAPP, Prithvi Innovation, and ReUpyog, the workshop aimed to educate participants about the concept of circular economy in the context of electronic waste (e-waste), its current scenario, environmental impacts, management strategies, and the role of youth in addressing this global issue.
Day 1 Highlights: The first day of the workshop focused on providing participants with an understanding of e-waste, its current scenario, and its impacts on the environment. Sessions covered topics such as e-waste management, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), the identification of key stakeholders, and the crucial role that youth can play in addressing this issue.
Day 2 Highlights: The second day delved into the foundation of the circular economy, emphasizing consumer behaviour, community building, and the promotion of sustainable lifestyles. The day included interactive group exercises aimed at exploring practical approaches to implementing circular economy principles in e-waste management.
Day 3 Highlights: The final day featured an interactive session where participants provided feedback on the preceding two days. This was followed by discussions on community engagement programs and the development of action plans. Participants were encouraged to identify their roles in addressing e-waste challenges and set goals for the next four weeks to contribute effectively to this cause.
